Polymer clay panda bear – DIY step by step tutorial
Polymer Clay Panda Bear Tutorial
In this tutorial, we will learn how to create an adorable polymer clay panda bear. Follow the step-by-step instructions below to bring this cute creature to life. I’ve found my inspiration for this article over here
- Gather your materials:
- Polymer clay in black and white
- Craft knife
- Rolling pin
- Small ball tool
- Toothpick or needle tool
- Baking tray and oven
- Start by conditioning the black and white polymer clay separately. Roll each color into a ball and flatten it with a rolling pin.
- Cut out two large circles from the black clay for the panda’s body. Use the craft knife to shape them into ovals.
- Take a smaller amount of white clay and shape it into an oval for the panda’s face. Attach it to the black body using gentle pressure to blend the clay.
- Use the small ball tool to create indentations for the panda’s eyes and nose. Make small black clay balls and place them in the eye indentations. Flatten another black clay piece for the nose and attach it between the eyes.
- Shape small black clay pieces into rounded ears and attach them to the top of the panda’s head.
- Use the toothpick or needle tool to add details such as a mouth, eyebrows, and fur texture on the panda’s body.
- Bake your polymer clay panda according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Allow it to cool completely before handling.
- Once cooled, you can optionally apply a thin layer of glaze to give your panda a glossy finish.
- Your polymer clay panda bear is now complete! Display it as a cute decoration or give it as a thoughtful handmade gift.
