Below it’s an easy polymer clay Halloween black cat tutorial that will help you decorate your home in a very cheap and innovative way! You can also create this cat in a smaller size and use it as a brooch. I bet you have in your group of friends a cat lover that will enjoy such a gift.

Things you will need for this Polymer clay cat tutorial:

– black, orange and yellow polymer clay
– needle modeling tool or toothpick

Process:

We will first create the front legs (figure one): two long cones. With the needle modeling tool we’ll create the claws.

Then we will create the figures from the second image: the head (a ball), the body (a larger cone), the tail ( a very thin cone or a sausage) and then the back legs( in the form of an hourglass). Next we’ll work a little more to the back legs. Use the third image from the first row to adjust them and then combine the body with the legs and the tail as shown in the first image from the second row. Use a toothpick in the body to fix the head.

As the next step we will be modeling the head of out polymer clay Halloween black cat. Create two holes and fill them with yellow clay. Then add a thin dash of black to create the spooky effect. Add in the middle a small orange triangle (that’s the nose).  We have to add two more triangles, this time black ones. Those will be the ears of our clay cat.

Attach the head to the body. Congrats, you have just created your first polymer clay Halloween black cat.

Painting with polymer clay

Recently I have discovered a new technique: painting with polymer clay. It’s amazing what nice things you can create! There are unlimited possibilities and the result is stunning is like wearing a piece of art! You’ll get all the attention in the world wile wearing this amazing pendants!

Works performed in this technique do not need to be coated with paints. The clay itself replaces the paint, superimposed on the basis of tiny “smears”.

Let’s take a look and give credits to Filigrina for this unique and beyond words work:

polymer clay caw tutorial – DIY step by step

This article is about how to create a polymer clay caw. It is a nice project to do it with your kids.

Things you need going on with this polymer clay caw tutorial:

– polymer clay (white, black, orange, yellow and slightly green)
– thin wood stick
– ball shape tool
– Cutter
– A small knife

polymer clay caw tutorial - DIY step by step

Let’s go now to the process:

Step 1:

We’ll start creating our polymer clay funny cow from the body. Take a white piece of clay and roll it up in the shape of a pear. Put the think stick in the top and cut the extra clay. Add a thin dark orange bib on the top of the drop (where you added the stick).  That’s the body.

Step 2:

We will change our focus now to the head. Roll a white clay into a ball about half the body of the cow. This will be the head of the cow. Create an orange ball, turn it into an oval shape and apply it with your finger in the mouth area. As the next step we-ll make four small balls: two grey and two orange. Combine them and create two drops as shown in the figure 5. This will be the ears, so add them at the top of the hear. Make two drops for nostrils and cut a smile on that funny face. In the drops you create for nose you can also add small balls of dark orange clay. If you add the tongue it will have a more funny look.

Step 3:

Add the head you just created to the body. Create a larger bib than the first one and use it as a vest.

Step 4:

Create two white cones and add some black spots. This will be the hands of our figurine. We’ll do two more white cones, but this time we’ll add some grey spots on the base of the cone. We’ll also have to make a small cut to look like hoof. Add a couple of gray hair and two yellow horns and will look exactly like the polymer clay funny caw in the picture

Faux agate polymer clay bracelet – DIY tutorial

I saw that is a nice trend with polymer clay faux stone. For today we’ll learn to create a faux agate polymer clay bracelet. Actually after learning to create faux agate, you’ll be able to create any jewelry you have in mind!

Tools and materials you need for this faux agate clay bracelet:

– polymer clay – white and translucent blue
– cutter or a knife
– sandpaper
– sanding machine
– drill 1 mm
– glue
– diamond file (cone)
– varnish
– brush for lacquer

For this tutorial the author first baked the beads of the bracelet and after created the holes. It’s easier to do so, but you can carefully create them before baking. Depending on the variant you choose, you may not need some of the tools listed above.

Faux agate polymer clay bracelet - DIY tutorial

Let’s get to the actual process:

Step 1:

Take the translucent blue polymer clay and sculpt out of it a medium sized cylinder. Than cover the cylinder you just created white polymer clay. If you have a pasta machine you can use it, but it is not necessary, the natural stone usually are imperfect.

Step 2:

Pull the cylinder out and gradually transform it into thin roll. Don’t worry it’s no need to be the perfect same size, as I said the natural stones are usually imperfect.

Step 3:

Cut the resulting thin edge into small pieces and then gather them into one piece. From that new piece create a rectangular shape. Slices from this shape will be the beads from the bracelet.

Step 4:

Cut the clay rectangle you created in the beyond step into slices. Now is actually perfect time to choose if you’ll make holes before or after baking. If you choose after then proceed to baking the result at the temperature set by the manufacturer.

This is how the blocks looks after baking. The translucent clay created an amazing gradient blue color.

Step 5:

We will now polish our slices to remove the cutting imperfections. The author used a sandpaper number 600. After the polish you have to wash the pieces with water. Only after washing and proper drying cover them with varnish. Cover with varnish alternately, first one side, and after drying cover the other side.

Step 6:

It’s time now to drill the holes. If you created them before baking just add the elastic cord, otherwise follow the pictures to create the holes.

And here is the result: our first faux agate polymer clay bracelet! Hope you enjoy this faux agate polymer clay bracelet tutorial. You can find here the article from where I got my inspiration.

Polymer clay circle in a square cane DIY step by step tutorial

In this article I’ll show you how to create a polymer clay circle in a square cane. It’s a very simple tutorial that you’ll enjoy!

Things you’ll need for this easy polymer clay circle in a square cane:

– two polymer clay colors (in this case red & black)
– pasta machine
– extruder
– cutter

Process:

Take a black piece of black clay and make a roll the size of the extruder cover. For now we have the circle and all the work from now on will be to create the square around it. We’ll take the red clay and we’ll process in the extruder with the shape from the second image. We need for shapes by roll size.

As a next step we’ll cover the black roll in a thin red sheet. After, we’ll add the pieces we created with the extruder keeping the same distance between them. It started to look like a square, but we have one more step until we are done! Make thin rectangle sheets. The length of the rectangle must be equal to the roll length and the width equal to the distance between the pieces processed in the extruder. Reduce the cane to get rid of the stripes between the blocks

Our polymer clay circle in a square cane is ready!

Polymer clay yellow flower easy cane – DIY step by step tutorial

Hello everyone! Today I’ll show you how to create an easy polymer clay yellow flower cane. You can use whatever color you need for your project!
Things you’ll need for this easy polymer clay yellow flower cane:
– polymer clay white, black and a color of your choice (in this case yellow)
– pasta machine
– cutter

Process:

Use white and yellow clay to create a gradient sheet and when roll it up so darker color is inside. If you are a beginner use this basic polymer clay color blends tutorial.

Cover the roll you just created with a thin sheet of black and then cut it in four equal pieces as shown in the third picture from the collage. Take every piece one by one and make a petal( fifth picture) by pressing the edges towards the dark top. Leave a small part on the top uncovered by black clay.

Combine two of this petals and then press the top as shown in the 6th picture. Take a white piece of clay and pass it through the pasta machine to create a thin sheet. With this sheet cover the two petals that you combine before. Leave the top uncovered. Create a small roll and add it to the opposite top as shown in the picture no 7. You have now two of this petals. Cut them into half and then again one more cut in the half.

For the next step create a white rectangle of clay and one black with the same size. Combine them and then create a roll. This roll will be the enter of the flower. The roll must be the same size with the petals. Cut out the extra amount from it. Combine the petals with the striped roll in the center. You’ve just created your clay flower cane to use it in your future project.

I hope you enjoy this polymer clay yellow flower easy cane. I found my inspiration for this article here.

I work with fimo and if you do the same, I recommend you to use classic fimo for canes. If you use soft clay the drawing inside suffers when you reduce its size. I guess is the statement is generally valid with the rest of the products: Premo, Sculpey,  Cernit, PVClay , Kato Polyclay, Filani, Du-kit, Pardo, and Garie Sim’s Play Clay.
