How to make Fimo figurines
Every figurine is built from a handful of basic shapes. Once you can make these, you can make almost any animal:
- Start with simple shapes: balls for heads and bodies, teardrops for ears and tails, thin snakes for arms and legs.
- Make the head big. A head almost as large as the body is what makes figurines look cute.
- Join parts firmly and push a piece of toothpick inside to hold the head and limbs in place.
- Add tiny black balls for eyes and use a needle tool for mouths, fingers and fur texture.
- Bake at 110 °C (230 °F) for 30 minutes, with a foil core for figures thicker than about 1 cm. See our FIMO instructions for beginners.
